no day but today

erica hill / toronto / est. 1994

i dream of ...
traveling the world,
matinee trips to the movies,
  lazy sundays in bed
with a book,

riding an elephant in africa,
living by the beach,
or not,
but living none the less

i believe in ...
unity,
expensive cheese,
& the oxford comma

i find comfort in ...
familiar faces,
or new ones,
peaceful snow falls
on christmas eve,
and very, very,
high heels
I have a unyielding craving for adventure. It nags from the corners of my mind and challenges me to add some excitement into my life. Whether it be driving aimlessly, or breaking into an abandoned house. Doing something new gives me a sense of fulfillment that I long for. I feel as though I’m always chasing this sense of adrenaline and accomplishment that comes with doing something new. No matter how small. Maybe that’s why I decided to wear an old bow tie of mine. And with pride. You see even slightly deterring from my comfort zone can put a smile on my face. And not the kind of “nothing-is-going-wrong-so-I-should-probably-be-happy” kind of smiles either. I balance the world in my fingertips. I feel in control and brave and happy. It truly is a wonderful feeling. Everyone can learn a little from experiencing new things. Daring or not all that wild. It really doesn’t matter. So try something new. Do something adventurous. Climb a tree. Wear a bow tie. Do what makes you happy. And ignore the rest.
